The SMALEI team has produced a workbook, crafted as a guide to assist you and your organisation in integrating sustainability into everyday practices and long-term strategies. It is intended to support the use of the Sustainability Matrix for Adult Learning & Education Institutions, and its accompanying self-assessment.
The workbook offers a collection of excercises and templates as a practical support when planning and facilitating a process aimed at the development of your organisation. We hope it will help you facilitate a collaborative deep dive into your organisation’s current practices, uncover areas for improvement and inspire innovative approaches.
The resource bank below mirrors the resources in the workbook. You can always come back to these resources time and time again, and feel free to adapt them to your own use.
A powerpoint presentation that can be used as a backdrop when introducing the five main areas of the Sustainability Matrix.
The SMALEI Matrix Game can be used to further discover the themes of the Sustainability Matrix. Participants move through a game board, making discoveries along the way.
A grid with two dimensions, impact and time/resources. Prioritize among ideas by placing each idea within the grid.
Create an implementation plan for a sustainability idea or improvement by working through the sections of the canvas.
Worksheet to support reflection and discussion in groups, as a follow-up activity after testing or trying out new and improved ways of working.
This postcard can be used to get participants to reflect individually and consider their commitment to sustainability actions by each writing a postcard to themselves.
Three worksheets supporting you to creatively develop ideas in relation to any of the Sustainability Matrix areas, and transform these ideas into actionable steps.
