Mentorship for Sustainability
Mentoring & Peer Review Guidelines for Sustainability in Adult Education Institutions
To support the development of sustainability practices in adult learning organisations, these guidelines are intended as a starting point for 1) personal mentorships, and 2) organisational peer reviews. Establishing a mentoring scheme or building peer relationships in a sustainability network of adult learning organisations can help build motivation, mutual inspiration and learning. The process of developing the sustainability of an organisation is ongoing and can therefore benefit from sharing perspectives and gaining insights from the work of peers in the same field.
In these guidelines you find suggestions for how to establish both networks for mentorships and peer-reviews, starting from the context you’re working in. Included are tentative scenarios – examples from across the European context (Basque Country, Spain, Sweden, Poland and Belgium). To provide practical support for mentoring and peer reviews, hands-on advice and suggested workflow are also included in the guidelines.
